Autumn Painter is a Ph.D. student at Michigan State University focusing on zooarchaeological analysis in the Eastern Woodlands of North America. Her research interests include food sharing, subsistence patterns, and social interaction. She is originally from Marquette, Michigan and got her taste for archaeology during elementary school through the Youth Archaeology Workshop held on Grand Island, Michigan by the Hiawatha National Forest.
